Dunedin, Florida, is located on the Gulf Coast and one of the oldest towns on the west coast. From the very first visit to Dunedin, I knew It was special.
If you asked a dozen people what they love most about Dunedin, you could easily get a dozen different answers. Craft beer lovers might say that it's the more than half a dozen craft breweries, like Cueni Brewing, beach lovers and sun worshipers might suggest its the renowned beaches, Caladesi and Honeymoon Islands. Fun fact - Honeymoon Island has been deemed the number one state park in Florida.
As I've gotten to know and love Dunedin, I believe It's the people that make Dunedin special. The small business owners and residents are fun, quirky and full of love and life for a town they genuinely enjoy being a part of. They are the very definition of what community is.
Dunedin is taken from Scottish Gaelic Dùn Èideann, the Scottish Gaelic for Edinburgh.

You can catch the Caladesi Connection ferry at Honeymoon Island State Park for entrance onto Caladesi Island.
The Caladesi Connection ferry travels to Caladesi Island State Park for a four-hour stay.

Honeymoon Island has more than four miles of beach along with a three-mile trail through one of the last remaining virgin slash pine forests.
Rotary Centennial Nature Center helps educate visitors about the park’s history and natural resources.
Swimming, fishing, shelling, hiking and bicycling are some of the popular activities.
The park is also the ferry terminal for access to Caladesi Island.
